IN THE BLEACHERS PLAYLIST: JULY 11

These songs are all sad in one way or another. Sometimes I like to feel sad and music helps me lean into that. I won’t explain further. If you get it, you get it. If you don’t, you don’t.

I think, in general, I’m going to try and keep these themed in one way or another. Sometimes it will be a specific sub-genre, sometimes an emotion, and so on. They won’t be comprehensive lists, that’d be way too long, but I’ll do versions. This is “Sad 1.0.” “Sad 2.0” will come later and there will be no repeats. Next week’s theme as of right now is shoegaze, if you’re curious. If you aren’t familiar with the term come back next week and bring ear plugs. It’ll be loud.

Some of these songs are corny, but sometimes being sad is corny.

BTW: If you use Spotify instead of Apple Music, I don’t know what to tell you other than you’re using the inferior platform. I’m sure there’s a way to copy playlists over and one day I’ll figure that out, but not today.
